Most people think that marketing a property begins the day that it hits the market. They are wrong. The plan that you create and the way in which it is carried out is how you sell your home quicker!
Before your home hits the market, you need to evaluate some things. Look to see what repairs need to be done, get up to date on the little maintence things. Have a friend come in and give their honest review of your home, or better yet have a Realtor do a walk through and give you the tips and tricks that they have seen work time and time again.
Here are some simple and easy things to help your home to sell quicker.
1. A fresh coat of paint - This is going to make your home feel light and airy. Making your home a "blank canvas" will help buyers to imagine themselves there.
2. Price accordantly - At the end of the day, your home is only worth what the market says. Look at similar properties near by that have sold in the past year to help give you a starting point. If you overprice your property it will sit on the market.
3. Improve the crub appeal - Power washing the outside of your home, cut the grass once a week and maintain any bushes or flowers will go a long way in making your home look more valuable.
4. Remove personal items - Removing some of your personal items will help buyers image themselves in the space and help them figure out if your home their new beginning!
